In Jyväskylä the best advice is to head for one of the shallow beaches on Lake Tuomiojärvi, located just north of the city centre. Go on a cruise or set off on your own boat
Set off on a relaxing cruise, enjoy the region by boat, rent a canoe and paddle your way through some beautiful lake scenery. Take a break in the harbour or at one of the locks along the Keitele-Päijänne canal. Splash about in clear, refreshing water – straight from a lakeshore sauna or without.
Lake Päijänne and the Keitele-Päijänne canal form an extensive and varied waterway system for those travelling in their own boat.
