Finnish technology industry estimates that it will require around 6800 new experts annually during the next four years.

According to a research by Federation of Finnish Technology Industries (Teknologiateollisuus ry), especially small and medium-size companies estimate their amount of personnel to grow. Research states that mechanical- and metal industry and metal refining industry will need approximately 4800 new workers, electronic- and electricity industries around 2000 per year.

Technology industry employs 251 000 persons in Finland and is responsible for 60 percent of total Finnish exports.
